It has been reported that the Atlanta Hawks are expected to buy out Jordan Farmar's contract for $1.5 million. This buy out can become official, along with all other transactions, on Wednesday, July 11. The 6'2" point guard lead the UCLA Bruins to the NCAA Championship game in 2006. He was then drafted 26th overall in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He won two NBA Championships in Los Angeles. He was recently acquired by the Hawks, after being traded here by the Nets last week in the blockbuster Joe Johnson deal. I thought he would've been a capable third-string point guard after Devin Harris and Jeff Teague, if he were to have stayed in Atlanta. I wish him luck in his post-Hawks career.
