It was announced by Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry that the Hawks have recalled John Jenkins from the NBA Development League. The 6'4" rookie guard from Vanderbilt was assigned to the D-League along with fellow Hawks rookie Mike Scott on December 1. He played two games with the Hawks' D-League affiliate, the Bakersfield Jam, averaging 25.5 points per game in two wins. With Kyle Korver unavailable while awaiting the birth of he and his wife's baby (congratulations, Kyle!), the Hawks needed to get Jenkins back in Atlanta. Whether or not he will head back to Bakersfield when Korver returns hasn't been announced. I think it was a good move to bring Jenkins back up. He had been playing very well in Bakersfield, and since he is a sharpshooter, with Korver out, they needed his shooting. Good luck to Jenkins in his future with the Hawks.
