It was announced today by GM Danny Ferry that the Atlanta Hawks have signed Jannero Pargo to a 10-day contract. Pargo, the 6'1" point guard from Arkansas, spent last season with the Hawks, but signed with the Washington Wizards in the offseason. He was cut by the Wizards on November 15 to make room for Shaun Livingston. He is averaging 3.0 points per game and 2.0 assists per game this season, and he averaged 5.6 points per game and 1.9 assists per game with the Hawks last year. I think this was a great signing by the Hawks. With point guards Louis Williams out for the season and Devin Harris likely to miss a few contests with an ankle injury, the Hawks were thin at the one. By signing a player who already has played with some guys on the team, he shouldn't mess with the chemistry much, while providing a backup to Jeff Teague in the midst of this injury bug. I am happy to have Pargo back in a Hawks uniform when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves today.
