The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Miami Heat tonight at home at Philips Arena. With a win tonight, the Hawks would improve to 13-5 on the season and tie the regular season series with the Heat at 1-1. The probable starters for the Hawks tonight are Jeff Teague and Devin Harris in the backcourt, Josh Smith and Al Horford at the two forward positions, and Zaza Pachulia at center. Kyle Korver (back spasms) is listed as "doubtful". I think the key to a win tonight for the Hawks is attacking the paint. The Hawks have to take advantage of the Heat's weakness inside. The Hawks' guards have to either dish the ball to a big man inside or take it to the hoop themselves. If there isn't an open shot inside, either the big man or the guard (whoever got the ball inside) has to look to dish it back out to an open shooter. The defense probably will have collapsed inside (if they haven't, then there should be an open shot inside), and so the outside shooter will probably be open. Zaza Pachulia, Johan Petro, and maybe Ivan Johnson will need to see some heavier minutes than usual tonight. Also, if Korver doesn't play, Anthony Morrow and John Jenkins need to get heavy minutes as well. If the Hawks can outscore the Heat in points in the paint and shoot well from beyond the arc, I think they can get a W tonight against the division-rival Heat.
