The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at home at Philips Arena. This will be the second and final meeting between these two teams this regular season. The probable starters for the Hawks tonight are Jeff Teague and DeShawn Stevenson in the backcourt, Anthony Tolliver and Josh Smith at the two forward positions, and Al Horford at center. This suggests that Coach Larry Drew will make an exception for Stevenson to play on both nights of a back-to-back, because the Hawks faced Dwyane Wade and LeBron James on the first night and will be facing Kobe Bryant on the second night. This doesn't make sense to me, however, because I thought the Hawks traded for Dahntay Jones to combat against this situation. Louis Williams (torn ACL, right knee) and Zaza Pachulia (sore right Achilles) are listed as out. This is worrisome, because Pachulia had been listed as a game-time decision for the past few games that he has had this Achilles injury. Jeff Teague (sprained left ankle) is listed as questionable. I think the key to a win tonight for the Hawks is not letting the Lakers get the ball inside. The Orlando Magic tried to limit him by fouling him in his return to the Sunshine State last night, and as a result, he hit 25 free-throws. The Hawks need to try to limit his touches, because especially without Pachulia, we don't have enough bigs to battle him once he gets the ball. If the Hawks can stop Howard, I think they can get a W tonight as they try to avoid a season-sweep.
