The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Dallas Mavericks tonight on the road at the American Airlines Center. This will be the first of two meetings between these two teams this regular season. With a win tonight, the Hawks would improve to 28-22 on the season and 1-0 in the regular season series with the Mavericks. The probable starters for the Hawks tonight are Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver in the backcourt, Anthony Tolliver and Josh Smith at the two forward positions, and Al Horford at center. Louis Williams (torn ACL, right knee) is listed as out. I think the key to a win for the Hawks tonight is to keep Dallas from getting out on the fast break. The Mavs are old, but they crash the boards hard and run. The Hawks need to work to get offensive rebounds to keep Dallas from getting opportunities to get on the break. If the Hawks can limit the Mavericks' fast break points, I think they can get a W tonight in DeShawn Stevenson's return to the city he helped bring a championship to in 2011.
