The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Denver Nuggets tonight on the road at the Pepsi Center. This will be the sixth and final game of a six-game road trip for the Hawks. This will also be the second and final meeting between these two teams this regular season. With a win tonight, the Hawks would improve to 34-25 on the season, 4-2 on their six-game road trip (as I predicted on Twitter), and 2-0 in the regular season series with the Nuggets. The Nuggets are one of only three teams in the NBA with just three home losses on the season. The Hawks need to come out of the gates strong and with energy to try to balance out the Nuggets' home court advantage. Also, due to the high altitude of Denver and the Hawks coming off of a back-to-back, Coach Larry Drew is going to need to make a lot of substitutions. Devin Harris should come off the bench to give Jeff Teague a breather, and they should never be on the court at the same time in this one. Also, because Denver has three very solid centers and the Rising Stars Challenge MVP power forward in Kenneth Faried, I think that Coach Drew should again go with Zaza Pachulia in the middle in the starting lineup. Look to see heavier minutes for Johan Petro as well, and maybe a Jeremy Tyler appearance, to try to combat with Denver's bigs. I would like to see Josh Smith on Faried for much of the night, to battle with his athleticism. If the Hawks can apply smart matchups with the Nuggets and bring the energy, I think they can get a W tonight to finish up the road trip with a winning record.
