Hawks vs. Pistons Preview
The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Detroit Pistons tonight on the road at The Palace of Auburn Hills. This will be the second game of a six-game road trip for the Hawks. This will also be the third and final of three meetings between these two teams this regular season. With a win tonight, the Hawks would improve to 32-23 on the season and win the regular season series with the Pistons 2-1. The probable starters for the Hawks tonight are Jeff Teague and Devin Harris in the backcourt, Anthony Tolliver and Josh Smith at the two forward spots, and Al Horford at center. Louis Williams (torn ACL, right knee) is listed as out. I think the key to a win tonight for the Hawks is boxing out. The Pistons are fifth in the league in total rebounds per game. They have a huge frontcourt, so the Hawks need to box out and crash the boards. If the Hawks can outrebound the Pistons, I think they can get a W tonight against their final Eastern Conference foe on this road trip.
